I have always helped the elderly a lot since I was a child. Not because of my upbringing, - although I'm sure that also played a big role in my love and respect for the elderly - but much more, as a "mission, karma" led me to care for them. My family members are no longer surprised if an elderly person from the crowd asks me for help to solve their problem. I think that love and respect for the elderly is not something that can be taught, but something that comes from within. I have always felt that I have a special connection with the elderly, and that helping them is my calling. It is no coincidence, therefore, that I chose my profession accordingly and became a Social Caregiver and Nurse. I take this task very seriously, and I am proud that I managed to make many elderly people smile who may have difficulty communicating with others. Caring for the elderly cannot be limited to shopping, cleaning, dispensing medication or tidying up their environment. They often need their souls to be cared for as well, especially if their health condition is already at the expense of their dignity. Many struggle with loneliness, isolation, or lack of self-esteem. At such times, it is important that there is someone who pays attention to them, who listens to their problems, who treats them kindly and patiently, and who helps them enjoy life again. I try to fill this role in their lives.
