I've had pets all my life — cats and a pug — and right now I'm the happy owner of a young rescued street cat. Taking care of animals is simply part of who I am.

As a lawyer working from home, I have plenty of in-between free time that I get to spend with my cat or other cats. I have a car and can get anywhere within Budapest, and I'm happy to travel to the agglomeration as well.

I only offer visit-based care, because I believe it's the best solution for cats. Staying in a familiar environment, surrounded by familiar smells and routines, is far less stressful than being taken somewhere new — and that stress is entirely avoidable.

If needed, I can spend the whole day at your place and work from there. In that case, the standard listed price no longer applies — I work out a more favorable rate through a separate agreement.

I think it's especially important for cats to keep their usual daily routine as much as possible: feeding times, favorite toys, cuddles. That's why I always meet the cat in person beforehand — I come over, get to know them, and watch a feeding session. This is included in the price, I don't charge for it separately.

I only look after cats — no other animals.

When it comes to tasks, I'm happy to take on everything day-to-day care involves: feeding (including special diets), giving medication, and anything else that's part of the cat's routine.

The one thing I can't work with is a cat that's aggressive during our first meeting. It's not about being picky — if a cat attacks me on the pre-visit, it's a sign that my presence is genuinely stressful for them, and forcing it wouldn't be fair to either of us. Any other temperament — shy, anxious, grumpy, clingy — I can work with and I'm patient with.

Before taking on any cat, I need to know everything: what and when they eat, any medication or supplements, vet contact details, and any known health conditions (FeLV, FIV, kidney issues, anything). The more I know going in, the better I can care for them while you're away.
