About me

I first experienced what it feels like to care for an elderly person with my great-grandparents and grandparents, and I realized how much the small everyday gestures mean in their lives. A smile, a caring question, an hour—or even just 10 minutes of my time—spent listening to whatever they want to share can make a big difference.
It took me some time to learn to take on the responsibility that comes with it, but now I do it gladly. I am confident in supporting them with their daily routines and other activities.
I am not afraid, and in fact, I genuinely enjoy talking about topics that they may not feel comfortable discussing with others. I listen to their feelings of loneliness, loss, or thoughts about the end of life. I understand that family members often want to protect their loved ones from the pain these topics may bring, which is why it is especially important to have someone who can listen and provide support.
